Chai Club Membership
At Chabad our membership is very different from traditional synagogues. We don't charge a set amount in order to be a member, because at Chabad we treat everyone as a member, When we are asked "how many members do you have?" our answer always is "however many Jews there are in town". We have an open-door policy, where every single Jew is welcomed and made to feel at home, regardless of affiliation or finances.
However, keeping our doors open is not cheap. We have bills to pay every month, not just during the High Holidays. As our programs increase, so does our budget.
A crucial element of our financial support comes from the CHAI CLUB. The CHAI CLUB is caring group of hard-working individuals who commit to a monthly membership that they can afford. This partnership is indeed the lifeline of the growth of Jewish life in Oviedo and Winter Springs. As the Talmud says "Each and every penny adds up to a large amount".
